EDUCATION SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
RDU helps in identifying children from families in needy situations. It focuses on assisting children who have lost their parents or/and guardians to HIV/AIDS pandemic, war, and related traumas, & those from extremely poor families; And enables them to fit into the society morally, spiritually and mentally.
The children are taken to schools while the older ones are taken to vocational training institutes, thus making them into productive members of the society. To this effect, in the various communities of RDU target communities, more than 30 needy children, deprived of their parents, are being supported through the local partners of RDU.
CHILD SPONSORSHIP is a great way to make a difference. You can help change the life of an orphan/needy child in Uganda, through your finanacial gifts and with your love. You will build a relationship with your sponsored child as you exchange letters and share your lives with each other.
What does it cost to sponsor a child?
It costs $100 per month to completely care for one child. We have three levels of sponsorship:
Premium sponsorship for $100 per month
Full sponsorship for $50 per month
Partial sponsorship for $25 per month
This amount covers tuition, uniforms, books, lunch fee, school requirements, and other basic supplies like pens and pencils, geometry set, shoes, cloths, etc.
In case you want to give a smaller amount, a larger amount, or a one-time gift; we welcome gifts of any size or frequency. This money will go towards unsponsored children, special needs, and projects to benefit all of the children. Any amount you can give will make a difference. All gifts are tax deductible in the U.S.

FARMING PROJECT
Agricultural crop production training is key to community development, and has been presented by RDU to many households in villages throughout our target communities, with an open invitation for any and all interested community members to attend. The training covers several modules on homestead agriculture and food security, including nutrition, soil fertility, crop rotation, rainwater harvesting and produce marketing, etc. When people grasp the links between good nutrition, health and brain power, major popular demand develops for more training modules and our fruit tree planting festivals.
The agricultural training has been developed for crop production at households within rural communities. It trains individuals in enhanced crop production techniques which are low in cost and water conservative. The community which is partaking in agricultural training receives constant mentoring and monitoring by training facilitators to ensure learnt techniques are correctly implied and that participants are mentored so that they can confront any challenges.
